This course is ideal for:
Beginners with no prior massage experience who are committed to becoming fully qualified therapists.

Personal trainers or complementary therapists looking to expand their skillset.
No prior massage experience is required, however learners must be aged 18 or over and have a good level of written and spoken English. A genuine interest in holistic health and a commitment to practical and academic study are essential.
Course Overview
This qualification provides all the essential skills and knowledge needed to practise as a professional massage therapist. You will learn how to deliver a full-body Swedish massage treatment safely, confidently and effectively, while gaining an in-depth understanding of human anatomy, physiology and pathology.

iUCT38- Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology for complementary therapies
Unit iUCT38 – Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology for Complementary Therapies – provides learners with a solid foundation in understanding how the human body functions and how common health conditions may impact clients. It covers all major body systems, their structure and roles, and introduces key pathological conditions, helping therapists tailor treatments safely and effectively. This knowledge ensures practitioners can work confidently within professional boundaries and adapt their approach to support holistic wellbeing.
iUCT24- Provide Body Massage Techniques for complementary therapies.
Unit iUCT24 focuses on equipping learners with the skills to deliver safe, effective, and holistic body massage treatments within the context of complementary therapies. It covers client consultation, classical massage techniques, therapist posture, and tailoring routines to individual needs-while fostering a professional, client-centered approach that supports both Physical and emotional well being.
iUCT21-Understanding the Principles and Practice of Complementary Therapies.
Unit iUCT21 introduces learners to the core principles, history, and professional standards that underpin complementary therapies. It explores the role of holistic approaches in modern healthcare, ethical practice, and the importance of client-centered care—laying the foundation for safe, informed, and respectful therapeutic work.
iUCT34-Business Practice for Complementary Therapies
Unit iUCT34 empowers learners with the essential business knowledge and practical tools to build a successful career in complementary therapies. It covers key topics such as legal and ethical responsibilities, marketing strategies, financial planning, and client relationship management

Course Structure
Duration: Typically delivered over 6-7 weekends within 5 months , a combination of in-person classroom sessions and home study.
Location: Kelly Horne School of Massage, Black Barn, Duncton, near Petworth, West Sussex – within easy reach of Chichester, Guildford, Worthing, Portsmouth and surrounding areas.
Format: Practical in-person training supported by online learning resources and tutor guidance. Comprehensive Anatomy and Physiology training with our expert tutors both in person and supported home study.
Assessment:
Practical examination by an external ITEC examiner
Internal practical assessments and 30 case studies
Written assignments
Multiple-choice Anatomy and Physiology theory exams
What You'll Gain
On successful completion of the course, you will receive the ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Massage, qualifying you to:
Work as a self-employed massage therapist
Offer treatments in spas, salons, clinics, health clubs or wellbeing centres
